About us

Our Story

Our founder, Jacob Fredericks was originally a member of the Fruit Driers Association (FDA), and decided to make his own society when the FDA moved their focus off of raisins. He has a great passion for dried fruits, especially raisins, which he says he has a “love-hate relationship” with. This is why Jacob wanted to allow both raisin haters and raisin lovers to be a part of his society, in hopes that it will change the world for the better!

At the International Raisin Society we strive to unite raisin lovers and raisin haters. We believe that everyone has strong feelings about raisins, whether positive or negative. We think that rather than continuing the age old debate about the dried fruit, people should unite and channel these feelings to do good in the world! If you agree with these ideas, love raisins, hate raisins, or even just prefer dates, the IRS is the perfect place for you!!
